Hey friends! Welcome to Rebecca James Clothing. We are a locally owned women’s boutique nestled in the heart of Nashville’s historic Hillsboro Village. Located just a short walk from Vanderbilt University, we specialize in curating elevated, boho chic fashion with a focus on making women over 40 feel confident and vibrant. While we handpick pieces with this sophisticated, artsy vibe in mind, our versatile styles, relaxed silhouettes, and unique statement pieces are loved by women of all ages who shop with us!

Our Story & The Name

I'm Deborah, and I co-own the shop with my best friend, Jamie. Our journey began in 2015 when we originally opened our doors as Upper Eastside Nashville.

In the summer of 2019, after the passing of my beloved Grandmother, I wanted to find a meaningful way to honor her legacy every single day. My grandmother and my mother are both named Rebecca Jane, and Jamie and his father share the name James. We blended these strong family roots together, and Rebecca James Clothing was born.

Meet Deborah & Jamie

Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats, and Jamie and I make the perfect team. You will frequently find both of us working the sales floor, chatting with customers, and helping you put together the perfect look.

  • Deborah: I am the lead buyer, curating all the pretty, boho-inspired pieces you see in the shop. I also handle the visual merchandising and manage the back-end of the business.

  • Jamie: Jamie has a fantastic eye and joins me on buying trips to hunt down unique styles. Behind the scenes, he manages our inventory intake and personally handles the packing and fast shipping for all of our online orders. Because he is also a talented residential contractor, he hand-builds all the beautiful store fixtures I dream up! Most importantly, he keeps me happy, healthy, and fed (seriously y'all... I'd survive entirely on cheese and crackers if he didn't cook for us!).

Our Mission

It is our absolute goal to make every woman who shops with us—whether you are discovering a fun piece for the weekend or building a beautiful, boho chic wardrobe for your forties and beyond—feel beautiful, confident, and special. We know it isn't always easy to style an outfit or know exactly where to start. That is exactly where our team steps in to help.
